City of San Luis Obispo

We have partnered with the City of San Luis Obispo through several departments to create a welcoming sense of place throughout Downtown and the city.

Light Post Flags

The City’s Promotional Coordinating Committee commissioned us to create five series of flags to display in the city throughout the year. We are incredibly proud to have captured the vibrancy of the city in these award-winning campaigns.

Series 1 - SLO Landmarks & Celebrations

Series 2 - Holiday

Series 3 - Spring Connection

Series 4 - Summer Fun

Series 5 - 4th of July Americana

Parking Kiosks

The graphics from Series 1 of the flags resonated so much with the Committee, they asked us to adapt the flag designs to wrap city parking kiosks.

Neighborhood Maps

The Promotional Coordinating Committee asked us to create maps of nine neighborhoods in San Luis Obispo. Each includes icons and points of interest in the neighborhoods.

Bin Wraps

As part of the Sustainable SLO efforts, we were asked to beautify new trash and recycling bins.

Public Art

In 2020 and 2021, Downtown SLO hosted several pop-up activations in Mission Plaza and throughout the downtown core. Our participation in these activations included large-scale chalk displays and window paintings.

Local Landmark Illustrations

Throughout our work with the City, we have illustrated some of our favorite local landmarks.

Street Barriers

We were asked to beautify street barriers that are used at Farmers’ Market and other community events. We took on the task with two design series.

Concrete Emblems

As new bike safety lanes were installed in SLO, the city wanted to mark the neighborhood bike path areas. We were tasked to create marks representing the neighborhoods that could be installed into the concrete lane barriers.
